At Belle Vie, our journey began with a vision of community and learning. In 1908, with a generous donation from Andrew Carnegie, the Ingersoll Carnegie Public Library was built as part of a global initiative to make knowledge accessible to all. For decades, the library stood as a cornerstone of education and connection, serving generations of local residents.
By the early 2000s, the historic building faced the threat of demolition. Recognizing its cultural and architectural significance, a plan was set in motion to save and reimagine the space. In 2019, the structure was lovingly restored and transformed into Belle Vie, a premier event venue that seamlessly blends its historic charm with modern amenities.
Today, Belle Vie carries forward its legacy as a place where people come together to celebrate life’s most cherished moments. From its Carnegie roots to its new role as a hub for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings, Belle Vie continues to honour its past while creating memories for the future.
